Cathy Yang is a distinguished erhu performer and a prominent figure among Chinese musicians on the international stage.
She has collaborated with renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma and the National Symphony Orchestra to premiere Journey, a new work by Grammy-winning composer Paquito D’Rivera.
She received further acclaim for her compelling performance of Tan Dun’s Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon concerto with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra — hailed as one of the most celebrated classical music events of the year.
